I inquired via email a couple of weeks ago about a case for my mandola and just got the most recent price list. This one is dated 2007 but the last one I have is dated 2004. With the dollar vs. the euro the prices have gone up for us North Americans but still pretty good from the only maker of the big three mandolins still in existence.

I did not include the terms, sheet music list or the guitars, just the mandolins. If anyone is interesed I can send them the complete list. Here we go:

Thanks for this, Jim. I'm angling for a teaching assignment next summer again in Firenze. If that comes through then maybe.......

"(The $ can't go TOO much lower, can it?)"

Depends on your definition of "too". http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Actually, on U.S. interest rates (whose fall seems have been halted, for now at least, by fears of surging inflation), possible pro-active intervention by the European Central Bank (as pushed by those suffering from the export-uncompetitive heights of the euro), and on all those foreign holders of enormous dollar-denominated reserves (Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, et al).

So, no, I don't expect the dollar to drop to wallpaper-value, but wouldn't bet it can't fall any further at all.

In short... get the mandolin that will make you happy! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
