American conservatory bowl back

A friend has asked me to find out about his mandolin. #All I know is it was his grandfather's, who passed away in the seventies. #The label inside is hard to read in the picture he sent but it appears to read "American Conservatory". #Any information would be great. #I do have other pictures if they would be of any help.

Doing a search using American AND Conservatory using the message fields as well brings up 5 or 6 pages of threads. This should get you started.

American Conservatory was a Lyon and Healy brand name circa 1900.
