Need help

Ok, I need some opinions. I know that everyone will have one. I am trying to settle a disagreement.

Which of the three peghead layouts looks best?

1, 2, or 3?

I like #2.

#1 is just angled wrong for the typeface. # 3 reminds me of the Tacoma brand.

2 looks right in a straightahead way - as in let's not overthink it and move on. 1 looks interesting but you'd need to change "something". 3 no way.

Number 2 is excellent. #The others are hard on the eyes and make me twist my head and feel off balance. #There should be some basic principles of design involved in why #2 looks so much better. # 2 would still look great with the mandolin held in playing position, but # 3 would be more readable and looks OK from that perspective. # 1 just seems wrong any way you turn it ---lou
