This is a cool idea! I hope it hasn't been posted somewhere else on the cafe, but Cherryholmes is recording their next album and they are posting clips from each days studio sessions. I am linking todays as it has the most mando content. You can link to the others from here!

Hey Ken - That's a terrific link. I think that Cherryholmes is one of the VERY best bands around. It takes a special skill to record like that.I did some session work many years back on Banjo & playing along to the previously recorded tracks, listening to the music thro.a set of headphones is WEIRD !!. Many thanks for the link & i'll be watching out for their new CD,
Saska

That's fun to watch - I like their work ethic - and the music always turns out great.

Great stuff! I saw these guys playing at a fest a couple of years ago and I really like their music.

What I saw and seem to confirm my beliefs is that momma don't always take the mandolin breaks on the recordings.
Why would she with a son that can geter' done right the first time without several takes. I've always noticed the recordings have more smooth fluid flow and punch then the live shows even though the same mandolin is being used.

I've been watching them for years and I don't recall seeing her take many breaks.
