I am looking for a source for ivoroid or cream point protector material in the UK or USA has anyone got any information out there. Stew Mac only sells white material.

Thanks John but because it is hazardous material they charge 300 dollars for the shipping, a bit on the expensive side.

Actually, the upcharge is $20.00. Thats going to be pretty standard anywhere you purchase Ivoroid. You may want to try Luthiers Merchantile International as they carry this product as well.

How about using bone instead of celluloid?

I've been buying from IV (strips) and using binding goo/acetone to glue several strips together -- less than ideal, but works.

If you have a local counter top shop ,they do a lot of corian and i get a lot of cut offs most for nothing but they will usually sell you a small piece of what ever color you pick out .I even got corian for the table of my thickness sander that i built .
