That's what I've got. I've never had a lot of money to shell out for a REALLY good mandolin - mainly because of severe MAS, GAS and UAS ( Aquisition Syndromes ) I have my Tut Taylor "Ode", a Weber Sweet Pea and that MM-50. It serves me well, but it bothers me that it seems to only have a solid top. There are other Korean-made mandos in the same price range that claim to have solid AND carved tops and backs.

Well soultosoul777 if you like to play bluegrass get a Michael Kelley mando if you want an Fstyle. Now you can get a better Astyle mandolin for the same money. I just bought a MK and have no problems with it. This mandolin has a great woody chop for the money. If you do get a MK get it from an authorized dealer because they will set it up and do what ever you need done.

I have heard good things about higher level Kentuckys. #Avoid Johnsons at all costs.:D
