Can anyone recommend other sources for circular fret slot blades than Stew-Mac and LMI? I just want to weigh all my options. Specifically, I'm looking for a 0.025" blade that doesn't require stiffeners.

You can get the edge of a plywood blade ground down by a machinist. That's basically what the Stewmac blade is. The thicker middle with the thin edge reduces the need for stiffeners, but any blade can perform better with stabilizers.
BTW, I use the Stewmac blade, and I usually run it twice to get a wider kerf. I can shim the stop on my jig with a couple of layers of masking tape to offset the cut so the second pass widens the slot to whatever width I want.

Good tip, John. Thanks! I especially like to have wider slots over fretboard extensions.

Shane at High mountain tone woods. http://highmountaintonewood.com/
I know he sells a nice blade that works for a .023 tang.
Thanks

That's the one that had seen before, but I couldn't remember where. Thanks! It looks like the kerf is just right.
