I am having fun doing different things and now have plenty of time to do it. curly maple back sides and neck with that new take on the headstock. this will be the last of the freelance stuff for a while, have lots of custom orders to start now again. On these last two mandos I used graphite nuts, and I really like them , super smooth tuning , but black ??

Very nice. I dig the headstock, looks like somebody took a bite out of a Condino. Nice work.

Barry, That mandolin looks great! Nice figure in the back and cool design on the peghead!

The black nut is good - makes the neck look more slender. Can you open a bottle of Bud with that headstock? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I know when you step out the box a little bit it can be dangerous, but also fun to see results of something different. In reality the headstock design flows with the look of this 2 point, it really looks like it belongs there. Additionally, this light little mando will put a many F 5's in there place, its a boomer ! The convienience of the headstock is that when your in a music jam, it CAN open beer and also scratch all those itchy spots you normally cant get to. And when that banjo player continues to play out of tune, just reach over there and slice his strings off. funny stuff

Barry,
I totally dig that headstock. I love when people think out of the box and that my Friend is one beautiful mandolin.
Best of luck and happy picking

If I ever played in a bar that had chicken wire around the stage, I'd want this mandolin. Love that headstock. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
