Jams at festivals

Hey do slow jams ever happen at festivals (on purpose). I'll be a Rockygrass next month and will be bringing my mando with me (I've started playing since last year's fest.) and am wondering if there are ever any pre-jam announcements. Something along the lines of "slow jam starting at 3pm at this location..." I'm just not fast enough to play with most people or of the same skill level. BTW, do we have any cafe-ers going to Rockygrass this year? (quite a line-up, as usual).

I don't know a specific answer to your question. I don't remember if they have jam announcements. But Rockygrass has the best/most jams for any festival/concert I've ever been to (at night in the campground). Just be prepared to stay up late. I've seen all levels of play.
