Hey everyone...
Just to let you know, prior to this year's Mandolin Symposium, Mike will be doing a string of dates with Danilo Brito, Dudu Maia, and Caterina Lichtenberg. We still have a few nights to fill, but so far, they'll be a the Live Oak Music Festival on June 15 (minus Caterina, but I'm not 100% sure about that yet), the Freight on the 18th, and possibly some dates in Utah. Are there any mandolin players out there in Utah?
Also, Mike will be in Seattle on Monday, June 16, performing his concerto.

Oh, good. They may be in Ogden on June 19.
Boise is just a hop, skip and few jumps from there.

Sorry, Arthur.... we had to move the Freight date to July 2, so Caterina could be on the show. She's not arriving in the states until the 19th. I was looking for a Friday night show in SLC or somewhere else in Utah, to go along with our Ogden show, but I guess there aren't as many mando players there as we thought.
But we did just book a Solstice/pre-Symposium Warm-up Soiree at Don Quixote's in Felton on June 21. That should be a blast. Get everyone all fired up
for the symposium.

June 19 Ogden Nature Center, Ogden, UT (same lineup as above)
June 21 Don Quixote's, Felton, CA (a pre-symposium warm up, same lineup as above, adding Caterina Lichtenberg
July 2 Freight & Salvage, Berkeley (all of the above, plus Eva Scow)

Maria, not to change the subject...
...but do you see any chance of Mike coming to Boston again this fall? He was at Club Passum for a concert and the next day did a workshop. I attended, and it was great.
Just thinking here.
Glad you asked! As a matter of fact...Mike and Hamilton will play at Passim on Sept 7. No workshops have been scheduled yet, but I'll let you know if that happens.
