I have used search successfully in the past, but it was giving me zero results this time and I KNOW threads on this specific subject have been brought up before.
I am having a mandolin set up at the moment. Should be ready next week. I wanted to have it strung with D'addario EXP 74s, but they only had the J-74s, so I went with those.
Are they pretty well thought of as well? Is there a big difference between the EXPs and the Js?

Try these (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=Search&CODE=02&SID=47d0744f71d7fd32) threads. If you need more there are a few hundred references within the message body as well.

EXPs are coated for longer life, Js are not. Both are pretty well thought of from what I gather. I lean toward the EXPs personally as I don't like changing strings as frequently, but the Js are fine strings too.
Here's a link to some threads regarding EXPs and/or Js.

It's my job Jason http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
It takes a few days before the EXP's sound "right".
After they settle in they have the same sound for a long time and the coating reduces the need for frequent restringing.
Next time around just change to the other and see how you feel about them.
