Cole mandolins

Has anyone ever owned or played a mandolin built by Ron Cole of Idaho? (www.colemandolins.com) I've heard good things about him and his mandos elsewhere, but would enjoy hearing other comments. I'm thinking of placing an order, and need all the help I can get. How do his mandos work for bluegrass and old time music?
