My sister found a Brazos M-350 at a local store for $200.00. She knows nothing about mandolins, but told me about it. So, I wonder whether it is solid woods, anything about the Japanese factory that made it (i.e., were they made along side of the Ibanez line, etc.) Apparently there is no truss rod.
Comments?

I played this instrument a few weeks ago. It's in really nice condition and had a very nice tone to it.

lee957,
When I googled Brazos, I saw this very mandolin also. Can you tell me what Broadway had for the price? The instrument store by my sister's house I think is asking about $200.00. Also, is it a solid wood instrument? I am trying to limit all future purchases to solid wood. I suspected a 70s vintage, but haven't been able to divine much other information.
Thanks for your reply and any other feedback you may have.

Broadway's asking $799.

Buffalo bros wants considerably less for a scroll.
The top should be solid; but don't assume the back and sides are too.
