Gibson A Mandolin Replacement Tuners

I know I've asked this before and there are posts out there on how to resurrect your old Gibson tuners, but those solutions have not worked for me. They are hard to get the mandolin in tune and they don't stay in tune.

So the question is... does anyone know the specific brand and model of tuners that would retrofit an old Gibson A without significant modifications?

Does anyone know if Waverly Guitar tuners for solid headstocks would fit? Even if I had to drill screwholes?
