Sure could use some help/ideas here.

Our group is practicing to learn Jeff Davis Hornpipe, which I located in the tef files (Blake-Grier). It is tabbed in Gm. Our banjo player knows it very well in Am, and we're trying that. I've used and love the tabledit files...is there any way to convert this tef file to Am?

Any other ideas on getting this mando tab in this key? I'm not that versed to do this by hand.

Thx ahead to all,
Mark

I found a guitar tab on Tab|edit in Am, but I can't find the mando tab you are talking about.

Edit: I found it. It wasn't showing up before, but now it did once I put in the key. An easy fix is to add 2 to each fret marker on the tab. All 0's become 2's, 3's become 5's, etc. Or slap a capo on 2 unless it's too much like cheating.

Jim, so you found the mando tab in Am ? #That's really what I want to print out, straight up. And play along with.

Or are you telling me to simply translate the Gm verion I have up 2frets on the fly? #That's not going to let me play along with it.. (?)

Am I missing something? #
Thx for your help !

edit... whoops, i think i see it now.. its listed as old-time. Wife yelling at me.. bedtime..will recon tomorrow ! thanks!!! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif
