Is that the one on classifieds...I guess I got to him too late
They are Loar case repro's. Depending upon when it was made they had different latches..some have the nice old vintage style ..some have the Martin guitar case type deals

..yep Darryl...you were too late...sorry...finally Ihad some good luck....The seller said it has a plate on the inside stating that it was built by Pag in 1988...I think that was the date he gave me...'86 or '88....he said he has had a case cover on it since he got it..and it only got a little scratch on the handle....he said when he got it that the storage box hadnt been glued in...its still that way...have you got any pics?...thanks...oh yea..he said it had a shade of blue interior...

I've never seen anything other than the Loar rectangle. He made one double mando that I posted early in the Loar pic thread. He uses a lot of different interior colors/lining...some look fab, some so so (compared to orig Loar). There is one out there that I had him make me with red lining that I sent to him. I've seen it offered as original, and changed hands as original. It has the four small nail hole where the tag has been removed. A friend has one with burgandy lining that we sent him that I would die for. You can't tell it's not a mid '20s fern case

My Paganoni mandolin came with one that has red
interior - not plush at all. It's still a great
case, although I use a FlightLine case when I
travel great distances or am not familiar with
the surroundings where I'm playing. Pag cases
are great though, even at the high dollar they
cost.
