Adventure bg festival - cancelled this year . . .

I've just discovered that Adventure BG Festival (previously organized by WinterGrass people) will NOT take place this July . . . :~(

Last year, we followed Darrington BG Fest (3rd wknd in July) with Adventure BG Fest on Columbia River at Stevenson WA, and were looking forward to another "fortnight of BG Festing" in Pac NW.

Any suggestions for a replacement? Primarily seeking BG but Old Time or Fiddle Fest would be fine, too.

We really like having a L O N G stretch of BG - a wknd is not enough! - so having somewhere (no too far away) to go for a week or so _after_ Darrington was perfect. [Is there maybe something before Darrington - i.e. 2nd wknd of July?]

I would highly suggest hitting this one. We have been going to it for years and its always great. Some of the best talent assembled in one place. It is just south of Columbus Ohio.

However, Ohio is a little far from Pac NW . . . # ;~)

ps - I'm primarily looking for a "Picker's Fest" e.g. At Darrington, I mostly "blew off" all the Stage shows - much more interested in "jammin' in the woods" with the many Seriously GOOD pickers who also came for the JAMMING!

I heard Stevenson festival was still gonna happen and was being sponsered by the Chamber of Commerce for the city. I'll see what I can dig up on it...
