Hey everyone - This band has been playing for about a year now and I am really having a good time playing with these guys. We completed our first project in October. We have a new Myspace page as well and you can check out a few of our songs if you like. My favorites from the project are Mountain Home and Power Position but neither are on the Myspace other than the pay section. Not sure why maybe we can switch them around a little.Blue Storm Myspace Site (http://www.myspace.com/richardpropps)

How about some feedback, what do you think? I am playing my Gibson Sam Bush model on the cd.

Great. That's what a blue grass band should sound like. #Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin and guitar, top notch. #I like the bass, too (how come nobody ever praises that indispensible guy in the back?).

Thanks Brian.

No doubt on the bass players. I have been playing with the guy on the bass for probably 12 years now, just jamming and I am so happy we are finally in a band together. I am not saying this because we play together but he is one of the best bass players ever. I hold him in high regard with the likes of Barry Bales, Mark Schatz (sp), and he is approaching Edger Meyer style. He played in marching bands and has a counter in his head that somehow keeps perfect timing all the time which really allows us to goof of more on the other instruments.

There is a bluegrass band I saw on the mall in Washington DC last summer. I forget the name (I am really sorry), but they were really great. The bass player was this short slight litte woman who had to reach up to play. But wow she could play.

Its not glamorous, but its essential, the bass holds everything together.

You guys sound great! The blend of the group is impressive. Who's the singer? That guy deserves a record deal.

Thanks FLmando! I feel the same way about the singer. He traveled in a gospel band for a long time and then got into bluegrass.
This first cd was really the first songs we did as a band so some of the stuff he has worked up know just blows me away. I can't wait to do another one now that we have some time under our belt.
