Anyone have a source for tab for this monroe tune? I would like it as close to monroe as possible. Thanks in advance.

it's in Todd Collins' 25 Monroe Instrumentals

25 Monroe Instrumentals Preview (http://books.google.com/books?id=12lN7v-fAzsC&printsec=frontcover&dq=25+Monroe+instrumentals&ei=vKunR66gA5XCzATu8pjyCw&sig=ra5CNGKVKQVMUTANFeyu4jX8eWI#PPA22,M1)

Watch/listen to the man himself play it here:

The Todd Collins tab is close, but not exact (when compared to the video or his recording). Of course, Bill probably didn't play it exactly the same everytime either.

That Reilly guy should at least correct the title to 'OLD DAINGERFIELD.

A good version to listen to is from Chris Thile's "Leading Off". Download from iTunes. The tab is on Mandozine done by Mike Strangeland I think.

a lot of people play it with more of a major feel, using the c# note more than monroe did. That's the way I first learned it and I hear it this way more than the "correct" way.
