Any opinions on Ron Cole Mandolins? Who has one or played them and what did you think?

Very nice mandolins. I have played a few, and seen some of them around festivals here in the west (Montana, Idaho). Ron has also done some repair work for me on a Gibson mandolin. Good guy.

I have owned and played a few Coles and I love them. Great tone and volume, easy to play. Ron is first class also. Kevin Prater of the James King Band plays a Cole, at least he has for several years, I do not know if he still does now or not. Anyway you won't be disappointed with a Cole.

Here's a pic of one of Ron's mandolins with a curly redwood top...

Pretty cool.....

My instructor, Roscoe Morgan, plays a Cole A style and it will knock your socks off http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I've owned a Cole F5 for almost 2yrs. The tone and volume were exactly what I was looking for. I get a lot of compliments on its tone at festivals. I couldn't be any happier with mine.
