I have noticed that when I got into a resturant or any eating establishment, one of the first things I look at is the size of the straws. Yes, the drinking straw. Will it fit nicely on a truss rod ?? With all the money spent on shop tools , wood, and such , why don't I just go buy a box of straws? Go ahead and admit it....I can't be the only one who does this ! Wife says I'm crazy..oh well.
If I remember right, Wendy's has the perfect size straw.

I think we need to add this to the DSM...definitely a sign of some sort of pathology!! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Ummm, err, ahhhh....
Why do you want to put a drinking straw on a truss rod? Sounds more like a fetish than a disorder. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

I think some builders use a sleeve so they don't get glued to the fingerboard.

Thanks Chris, I feel much better now ! Yes, Wendys fits well. Drive thru order..... I'd like a #1 combo with 5 straws. They look at ya kinda funny...

I also like to place a dab of silicone caulk near the nut end to prevent any possible noisy wiggling.
