Hey, I wanted to see if anyone had come across a Cozart mandolin at any point. It has a spruce top, maple neck (rosewood fingerboard) and mahogany sides. The finish looks pretty good in the pictures, and coming across a lefty f style is always a pleasure. Thanks!

The one on ebay looks really cheap. The spruce top is no doubt laminated (plywood). Definitely not a carved top or back.
I think I would avoid it.

If you closely examine the packaging of the Cozart in the above pic, you will see that it more than adequately conveys the value of its contents. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif #Leave it alone, I say.

Yeah, and it looks like a completely flat top, at least the scroll is completely flat, no ridge. I play lefty on a budget but I agree with the others and would keep looking, if you search there are several topics about lefty mandolins. NFI, but I'd say check out the lefty Mowry at Greg Boyd, now that sucker looks sweet!
