I just posted 2 new Tabledit files on Mandozine.com that I would like to share.

The first is a waltz by Peter Ostroushko called "McCully's Waltz" from his Postcards cd. It's a beautiful waltz tune eventhough it makes me sad after I play it.

The second is a tune by Billy Bright called "Thanks Norman" from a cd called Insofarasmuch by his band The Two High String Band. It's a fun tune to play and I think it is a tribute to Norman Blake.

Enjoy!

How do you add new Tabledit tunes like these to an existing collection on a Mac? When I download the file individually I just get the gibberish.

I'm not sure what the problem is. I created the files on a PC so I don't know how they would transfer to a MAC. You could contact Keith at Tabledit.com for help.

Thanks Greg ... especially for McCully's Waltz. It makes me cry too when I play it. Good one for tremolo for sure. Love it. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have a Mac and have no problems. You need to download TEFview (http://tabledit.com/tefview/download.shtml) (free) then open the files in TEFview. That is all. You can view the tunes in either tab or std notation or both and play them back in cheesy-sounding midi.
