Hi everyone:
My understanding is that Gibson Master Models are shipped with Bill Monroe strings. #Just wondering if you stay with these or find other strings work better.

I am using the Bill Monroe strings currently. When I change, I will try the D`Addario J74`s, then will try the EXP74`s. The J74`s are closest to the Monroe`s, the only difference is the Monroe`s have a slightly larger G at .41. I find that the D`Addario strings seem to hold there tone longer. On my Bush I used only Bush strings, they to me, sounded the best for that particular instrument. The Steffey sounded best with J74`s as well as the Weber Fern. I have only had my Master for three months, so I have yet to experiment.
