A friend wants a good & inexpensive new Gibson mandolin but is hesitant to pop for the Gibson "9" models due to their lack of a pickguard. The lack of dots on the top aren't bothering him but he likes to post his pinky on a pickguard.
Does anyone know where he can obtain a raised guard for an F9 or A9?

I got one for my tortoise bound F5 , ask him to make yours a little thicker , the pins to the fretboard edge needed a little more on mine, but it still works.
Especially if it's the shorter style, since the pins are where it hangs from,i.e. w/o rim mounting.
