Off Butch's Old Town album, anyone have tab or notation for Boscoe's Boogie? Great tune...
Thanks
EDIT: Here is a clip of the tune, I just got the hang of the tune, you get the idea...never posted a video of my playing before, just filmed it with my digital camera.

Nobody?
That tune is in G, right? It has a characteristic neo-Monrovian thing on it, need to remember that one!
That record is a winner, the title track is way cool and has a terrific Stuart Duncan fiddle solo.

Alan,
Just sent you my email address by PM. It is a great record, I really like his version of Kentucky Mandolin on there too.
Butch has written several catchy tunes, some so catchy they have made it to, as Lou Martin says, the 'parking lot'. Slocum Hollow is another one. I like his What's Doin, an early number. Has a kind of Dawg groove to it.

Boscoe's Boogie is in the Butch Acutab book.

Now that I have this song about figured out, Butch refers to Monroe's Bluegrass Part 1 as the inspiration for this song, and now that leads me to that song.
The quest never ends in this music! Isn't it great...
I need to put together a song list and rank them by need to learn in order of priority because I am working on so many I can't keep them straight.
Tunes I am working on in random order:
-Bluegrass Special
-Evening Prayer Blues
-Bluegrass Part 1
-Honky Grass Stomp
-Lonesome Moonlight Waltz
-Old Dangerfield
-The Walls of Time
-Let The Harvest Go To Seed
-Wild Geese Cry Again
-Roanoke
that's all I can think of at the moment...

It's a great mandolin, especially when someone else who can really play gets their hands on it, I am playing everyday, always getting better, just over a year now...
