Hi to all you cafe folks. Another converted guitar player here. I'm loving the mandolin. 30 years on the guitar, two months/5 lessons on the mando. I've been poring over the wealth of information on the site and message boards. What a treasure! I'm working my way through the Bickford Mandolin Method and Bauer Duets for guitar and mandolin (me on the mando of course). Relearning fiddle tunes and playing along to CDs. I'm technologically inept, so just posting--assuming I am doing this right--is a challenge. Again, thanks for all the tips and techniques!

Welcome. Sounds like your are using a good approach to learning the mandolin. Best wishes to you and hang in there when you get discouraged at lack of progress. Plug away and it will come.
