I purchased a Morgan Monroe MM3S a while ago and hated it. It had no volume, it sounded terrible, I tried new strings, including TI and nothing helped. I was going to trade it off for anything else but a MM. I decided to try one of the Brekke Bridges, WHAT A DIFFERENCE. It is now my favorite mando. $60 bucks well spent.

Tree and others. I have been saying that for some time now. There are many and especially inexpensive mandolins that can be improved with the Brekke. It's not for all instruments but the cheaper the better. Kenc

Eight years ago I bought a Kentucky 250S (Korean) that sounded like a tin can. The original Brekke bridge made a significant improvement in the tone. Then I got greedy and installed an Allen solid cast bronze tailpiece and a pearl nut, which enhanced the instrument even further. Folks, you can almost make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but not quite!
