Newbie with a broken strap peg - arrrgh!

Hello eveyone - I am a total newbie to this site and to mandolins in fact. I just got a Big Muddy M-2 and was trying to but a shoulder dtrap on and the peg broke at the base - has this happened to anyone else? I wasn't using much force. Any suggestions on how to get the rest out?

Try talking to your dealer or with Mike Dulak of Big Muddy (http://franklinguitarcompany.com/contact.php) directly. He's got a great reputation for being a stand up guy. Maybe he'll help if you call him and let him know what happened.

Ok - crisis averted - I took it right to the dealer today and they drilled it out and but in a nickel peg that matches the tuners - I think I'll stick with that for now unless I get an ebony one. Much better than the cheap plastic that came with it. Otherwise a great instrument (i think).

I'm glad it worked out. And the Big Muddy is a great instrument.
