Interesting article about the new Feb '24 Loar. I wonder how many of those Loars are in existance that are not in the hands of musicians. You know.........showing up at garage sales!

Not a waste at all---if he didn't want to read the new thread he could have just not clicked on it. You do have to wonder how many are out there. I don't think there's too many people on this board who haven't eyed yard sales just wondering. You never know...it could happen. Thile obviously had some under-the-bed luck.

I concur with Steven. This is a chat board and people should feel free to chat. We just discussed the issue of searching the archives here (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=12;t=48610). And the thread that you pointed him to doesn't address the question he posed

Thanks for the post. You may have wasted Jeff's time, but I enjoyed it.
I think most people are here for the hobby value, to "intentionally waste time".
