I love this tune. I'm listening the Tone Poets version (Mike Marshall & Chris Thile). I haven't ventured to mandozine to see if there's any records of this tune, but I'm starting to go over some positions and it's awesome. The guitar part is messing me up a bit, but it sounds great.
Has anyone tried to play this?

Haven't tried it, but it's a nice tune, as is the whole album.

That's one of the only Thile recordings I don't have. I intend to get that Tone Poets CD eventually but for the time being I've spent all I can afford on CDs (I recently ordered a bunch of folk music I'd been listening to mostly classical for a long, and started leaning more toward folk again, and was blown away when I realized how good old time is and had to order a bunch of old time CDs haha).

I'm very close to figuring out all positions/keys. I will try to transcribe it in standard/tab. I'm guesstimating its release will be on or about April 2010 provided intellectual property and copyright is a non-issue.
I'm joking of course. This tune haunts me. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I don't know how I missed this album before but the important thing is that this post drew my attention to it. I'm downloading it now. Wonderful music!
I'll have to give it a listen and shot. I've been playing "you are my flower" from that CD with O'brien and sutton.

Tom C, I've been doing the same thing...It's a blast playing both.
