Sam Bush played in Teaneck NJ last night. And everytime I see him I'm floored. It was a bar with about 150 people with no problem standing right in front of the stage. Hoss was less than a foot from me when Sam played fiddle (2 feet when Sam played it). It was nice hearing the difference between his '37 and a new Bush model when he broke a string and had to switch. The nwe one sounded real full with a hollower tone than Hoss.Barry Mitterhoff was in attendance and played the encores with them -A really killer 'Sittin' On Top Of The World' and 'Going Back to Old KY'. I still feel the chills from the power of the 2 of them playing together. Barry really was able to let loose compared to playing with Jorma. I may just have to go to CT this weekend to see them again. 3 hrs sleep last night and one more day of work but, I'd rather be pickin' bluegrass and gettin' folked up.
