I'm looking at Morgan Monroe's bouzouki. Just wanted input from those who may own a mando, octave or zouk by them. General workmanship, quality, sound? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Hey m,
I have an MCM-TB F-style mando and really like it. Some finishing flaws here and there but nothing that was a deal breaker. I guess my expectations were a bit lower considering it is Korean made.
I bought it from Mark Bridge at Lone Hand Western and he is a great guy. I would definitely buy through him again! He worked with Morgan Monroe HQ to let me return the instrument if I wanted to but I ended up keeping it anyway. It has such a swe-e-et tone and stays in tune impeccably that I couldn't bear to part with it.
Keep in mind that these are imports so they are not the best of the best but, for the money, they are affordable and will get you playing while you still drool over the higher priced domestics of your choice. I hope this helps. Enjoy! - JD
