Anyone ever used this kind of mandolin. I am recently looking to upgrade mandos from a $165 peice of #### hohner mandolin. The listing price is $400 bucks with case included.

Help?http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif?

Jake,
The KM-630 has Solid top, laminated back & sides. It's a good intermediate step between the "absolute beginner" stage and the "OK Now I need a high quality instrument" stage.

I've got a used one I'd be willing to part with for less money than $400.00. Shoot me a message if you're interested.

jake08,

I have one of the new 07 ones and I really love it. Great tone. Easy to play. Looks good. I paid somewhere in the $600's for it new this year. The sound of mine seems to be unusually good though. I have played others that aren't so nice. This is usally the case it seems with any mando though. They are all different.
