I can't read the first owrd but a google search on "Gakki Co" turns up a bunch of Japanese business in the music industry.

It's a late 60 early 70's import from Japan, no earlier. Looks like the top is plywood. The pickguard is more eastern European style than American. The overall shape is reminiscent of the 30-40's Regals.

I don't know anything about the instrument, but that obscured maker name would be "Maruesu Gakki Co, Ltd"
