The 2nd annual is coming up the weekend of OcT 19th. I didn't go last year but plan on going this year. Anyone go last year? Good picking?

I went last year...didn't do a ton of jamming myself but I really enjoyed all the bands...it's a nice comfortable setting, the food was great, there was a mandolin workshop featuring Paul Glasse, Sarah Jarosz and a couple other players...had a great day, and I'm looking forward to going out there again this year.

It is at Camp Ben McCulloch, near Driftwood.

Isn't that where they hold the Old Settler's Festival, it's a beautiful site.

I'll be playing in 2 bands at the festival. Both on Saturday. Twangzilla and the Runaway Brides (also known as the Runaway Bridegrooms or the Rising Gorge Boys).
I also designed the logo for the festival.
Here's the website: AFTM (http://www.aftm.us)
There will be some great picking at the festival!

I'll be heading out in about an hour for picking tonite, should be fun. I'll be performing tomorrow with the Gray Sky Boys and Danny Barnes.

Great job, Tom, playing with the Gray Sky Boys and Danny.
This looks like it is going to turn into a nice little festival.
Did anyone else out there attend? Any thoughts?

I went and had a blast. The weather and campgrounds were great and found myself in a couple good jams. Will go back next year if my schedule permits.
