Yeah, my thoughts are:

1. There is no mandolin on this CD.

2. This CD is one of your company's products, which you just happened to "stumble on" three days after it was released, just in time for your very first post in the Mandolin Cafe'.

3. Your job, as Joni would say, is "Stoking the star-maker machinery behind the popular song."

What, the release is not going so well and your a-- is on the line?

Thanks for that. Need a carafe of coffee and a couple of Viagras now http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Excuse my ignorance, who's Joni? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Moderator heads up: Giving this thread an awful long leash before pulling the plug, simply because I'm a huge Joni Mitchell fan. Really ought to have mando content to continue to exist at the Mandolin Cafe.

(Duh...)

Spam is spam and I've been a Joni Mitchell fan since before she told Sharon that she went to Staten Island to buy herself a mandolin.

If this is ok my son is releasing Sebastian Bach's next CD with Axl Rose singing on three cuts. I'll post the link when it's available. To my knowledge neither Baz or Axl ever went to Staten Island to buy themselves a mandolin.

I looooooove Joni, but if anything the description of "smooth, relaxing, jazz, soulful vibe is a turn-off rather than a turn on. "Smooth Jazz" is like "Belt-Buckle country", and I don't listen to either.

I see similar posts by "artyjames" all over the web. Seems like lame warmed-over corporate hype to me.

"Free man in Paris" is a great song from a great album. To give this dicussion a more desirable spin, has anyody of you done some joni material on mandolin/CBOM?

More mandolin content: Joni Mitchell owns a mandocello.
