View Full Version : I seek an old Lost & Found record
Anybody have this and is willing to dub to tape/CD? It's their very first record, on the Oulet record label, must be from 1975 or 76. Can't seem to find it anywhere, don't even know what tunes are on it, but I have every blessed recording they've ever done, even a cool live cassette they used to sell at their shows. Had Steve Wilson and Steve Thomas on it.

..let me look in my stash...must of had Gene Parker on it....did it have.."Ferrum Stomp" on it?...or was it "Struttin to Ferrum"....one of those 2....
You may be thinking of the LP "Saturday Night Banjo Man", or something like that, a Gene Parker solo LP, has Dempsey on it. That record has Struttin to Ferrum on it. The one I want is a definite L&F record, their first.

The first recording I ever bought of theirs is Live, it's the cassette that looks like it was a do-it-yourself project complete with stick on label. It's the one with Struttin To Ferrum, Katy Hill, Come On Down, etc. It is my favorite in that it isn't a perfect recording sound wise but what energy!

Yes, I have that, it's great. Bubba Chandler is pictured on the j-cover, but he's not in the recording, recorded live at The Red Creek, presumably a bar.

Alan..Ive got "The Second Time Around" Lp.....It is on the Outlet label....doesnt have the same songs you listed above...has Roger Handy, Gene Parker, Dempsey and Allen Mills along with Gene Elders on fiddle...it was recorded in 1976....Ive also got a 1982 Lp with Bubba Chandler, Parker, Mills and Young and it does have Harvest Time on it...they must have cut that song twice..ya think?...let me know if these will help you. Im gonna email a friend of mine who may have the Lp you speak of...
