Perhaps more detail would be useful to some of us. I don't like liver but I don't need to post that fact on this list. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Elderly has always provided more than expected in my purchases. The last electric (used) that I got from them was listed with extensive wear. It was much better than described.

Please provide detail.

Yes, please elaborate. All my friends that have dealt with Elderly have been most pleased with their transactions, with setup and delivery, and even with prices, which is rare for a music dealer with a strong mail-list/internet presence.

I'm another satisfied Elderly customer. I've never had a single problem in the past three or four years.

Over a period of 15 years, I've bought from their retailn store, had instruments sold on consignment and mail-ordered a dozen items. 'Great group of people - friendly, expert and prompt. EVERY dealing I've ever had with Elderly has been a pleasure.

And they ship to Canada without problems or extra charges. I once ordered a $15 pick from Folk of the Woods (I felt guilty about paying so much for a pick but figured it looked interesting). Anyway, when I saw the bill calculation after I put through the order, I was floored -- Folk were charging me $40 extra to send the pick to Canada! So essentially I would have been paying $55 for the pick. Naturally I cancelled the order. Elderly has never done that to me -- I bought my mandolin strap, my capo, several books, and all my strings there. And I've just ordered a wood nymph from there.

I have been dealing with the fine folks at Elderly since 1975 and have not once had a bad encounter. On the contrary, they go out of their way to have the experience be good. They have the integrity and the knowhow to know that musicians are why they are in business. Great folks. Doug
