The Fairfax county parks have a summer concert series that features a variety of musical styles. #The Seldom Scene is biggest name bluegrass act in the series this year. #The full list can be found at Summer Concerts (http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/performances.htm). #These are free.
The Bluemont series also features a variety of musical styles and is held in communities an hour or so drive outside the metro area. #This year features Charlie Waller. #The full line up and cost has not been set but two years ago they were only asking $3. #The tenative lineup is at Bluemont Schedule (http://www.bluemont.org/summer2004/index.html).
