I went out to Wickenburg, AZ this morning to The Mandolin Store's new place of business. #I have to say it was the first time I've ever been in a store with more than two people looking at mandolin family instruments at the same time. #It's a treat to be in a room full of quality mandos and around other people who know all about MAS.

Besides the mandolins, I tried the Trinity College OM. Thought it was good for the price. No challenge for my Petersen, but good for the price. Also tried an Eastman f-style mandola and was surprised at how big it was. Except for the scale, it looked as big as the MK OM beside it.

Certainly was a pleasant experience. I wish the store well here in its new home in Arizona!

I used to not understand women who enjoy shopping, you know, browsing around stores looking for things they might want to buy. I had always been the type who figured out what I wanted, found out where it was sold, went there and purchased it.

But having been infected with mandolin aquisition syndrome I am beginning to catch on.

It's an affliction that few understand.
