I'd like to hear from other owners of these mandolins .. apparently there are 57 others than myself ...

I got mine a few weeks ago and couldn't believe I got that much mandolin for under a thousand bucks! I'd like to know what changes might have improved your mandolin .. strings etc. and if any of you have added the tonegard that howard reccommends for them.

Try getting in touch with Joe Heckel. He has been a member of the board. Here is a picture of him with his Morris mandolin...at Sore Fingers 2004, courtesy of Mary E Yeomans.

I have on of his f-4's like he was selling on #Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10179&item=3723561201&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) . # I like it, had it for a little over a year. It plays nice, has a nice open sound. #I just put elixers on mine. #They say they last longer, I hate to change strings. #But, yeah, all in all, I'd say a good value.
