Although I know that this is Mandolin Cafe, I have noticed that many people on this site also play bass. I just bought the CD/DVD of Edgar Meyer and Bela Fleck called Music for Two and it's really, really awesome. Edgar is one of my personal musical heroes and to be able to see him at it (I've never had the opportunity to see him live) is incredible. Some of the runs that he does on that bass I can't even fathom doing on the mandolin. Totally amazing. One song in particular called "Canon" is an extremely complicated round in 15/8 time that just blows my mind and even these guys struggle with it. Anyway, this is one of the best DVD's that I have (next to Grateful Dawg) and I recommend it to anyone that plays music.

The 2 DVD set of Led Zep is great, Jimmy Page is so impressive, but I don't know what's up with him and JP Jones, it was like 60% Page, 35% Plant and 13 % Bonham! #Even the few shots we see of JPJ playing mando have the microphone blocking the frets and fingering!! #GRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Thought I'd just bring some relevancization and topicejeries to this here thread!http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
