I almost named my daughter Amanda Lynn back in 1979. George Gruhn and Ricky Skaggs had the b_lls to do it

I can't convince my wife to name a daughter (should we ever have one) Amanda Lynn, but I may have her sold on Sylvia Weber. I like the kiddle name quite a lot.

Careful there ... isn't Banjo Patterson sort of an Australian folk hero?

This is no lie. My wife is a nurse and took care of a guy named ######## (Shuh-theed).
And then there was the basketball player named God Shamgod.
(and coming down the court it's GOD with the ball......)

His real name was Andrew Barton Patterson and only had the nickname Banjo, poor sod.
Waltzing Matilda is a great song though.....

Hey,
No lie I have the picture in my yearbook of a girl named
Tydee Beaver.
Pronounce it how you want it comes out dirty in two different ways.

No kidding here either- a good friend at school's mother's maiden name was "Dover". Her brother "Ben" Married "Eileen". It made the late show!
Another tureone. One school in my district wher I grew up had a principal with the last name Baltz. His wife's name was Ophelia.

I did name my daughter Amanda Lynne back in '76. I wasn't a musician at the time, but I always hoped to be (lots of air guitar) Now I've been playing the guitar for 24 years and finally my new love is the mando (Ratliff) for a little over a year. Guess who I'll leave it to! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

My daughter is due at anytime, and my wonderful would have agreed to Amanda Lynn, but I decided not to do that. (Her mom and my middle name is Lynn, so we thought it would be cool). But as it stands, she will be Amanda Richelle.

I read some news article about how celebrities just are cruel in naming their children and one of 'em named their kids Banjo, for real...I cried. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
All I have to do to match that is look at my birth certificate , Meveral Cyrus . We won't to the last name.
I know an Amanda Lynn and I know a girl who's first name is Mandilyn. Everytime I play she screams 'that's my name!' it gets very annoying...
