I didn't know Mandohack commissioned Morgan Monroe to build <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Jazz-Mandola-Prototype-Benedetto-jazz-pickup-case_W0QQitemZ160146051325QQihZ006QQcategoryZ

"Violation of Pete Langdell's patent?"
Nobody's going to get their knickers in a twist over a one-off/prototype.
Are you looking to chase this particular ambulance?

If it stays cheap that'll make a fun electric, I'm tempted to put it on my watch list.

Dunno, that seems like an unreasonable amount of committment to me.

Well, I'll let you know how it plays as it is due here about Thursday. Ted sent out a set of JazzDola strings this morning ( I already have a set on my Pomeroy mandola and they are great strings ) and intend to play this through a Line6 POD XT into my Polytone jazz amp. Benedetto pickups are top notch and I figured this will be either the smartest or dumbest move I've made this year. I'll do a sound file for Ted and anyone else interested.

What does mandohack have to do with this? This mandolin was sold by someone in PA.

Very few people know this, but Mandohack leads a double life with one family in Nebraska and another in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania he is known as Igny O'Ramus and has a very successful plumbing business called Mand-O-Rooter.
