I regret to inform you that Wesley Hutto, Johnny's grandson, author of the above linked post, and guitarist in the Augusta, GA based variety band, Borderline Music Company, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on Tuesday August 7, 2007. Wes was a good guy, a good guitar player and was proud to have been Johnny's grandson. Below is a link to his obituary.

Line Manager - SRS HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Wesley Thomas Hutto, 44, husband of Mrs. Jenny Lynn Hutto of Brown Road, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, today, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Gordon Robinson, the Rev. Marion Jay, and the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Hutto was a native of Baldwin County, Ga. but had made Augusta his home for most of his life. His family said he was a fine son, a loving husband, and father to his children and his pets. He was a line manager at S.R.S. and a founding member of the Borderline Music Company. He was also a member of the Holland Family Singers who sang monthly for the patients of the Georgia War Veteran's Nursing Home. He also played music to help raise money for the Schriner's Children's Hospital. He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Ray and Bonnie Hutto of Augusta; son, J.R. Hutto of Hephzibah; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Lynn and Daniel Odom of Waynesboro, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Selina and David Galle of Hephzibah. Pallbearers will be Bobby Reese, Allen Jones, Doyle Smith, Dale and Randy Gingery, and Sean Graves. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Bruce, David Saul, Gary Henning, David Walden, Dave Wickware, and Kirk Weidman. Memorials may be sent in his memory to 2903 Willis Foreman Road, Hephzibah, Ga. 30815. Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, 2502 Richmond Hill Road, Augusta, Ga. 30906.
