In case there are folks out there who aren't on Comando, we are having a mando pickers get together at my studio in Benicia next Sat. May 29th from noon till 5PM.
Featured guests & reason we're gathering the tribes are luthier Michael Heiden will be down from Canada, and Prof. John Bird is visiting the Bay Area from down in the Carolinas. John is the author of Tao of the Mandolin, and I hear he plays a mean Monroe style on the mando. So if you aren't going to Strawberry or busy with family responsibilities come on out & pick a few. Benicia is about 25 min. from Berkeley. Let me know if you need directions.
