In case there are folks out there who aren't on Comando, we are having a mando pickers get together at my studio in Benicia next Sat. May 29th from noon till 5PM.

Featured guests & reason we're gathering the tribes are luthier Michael Heiden will be down from Canada, and Prof. John Bird is visiting the Bay Area from down in the Carolinas. John is the author of Tao of the Mandolin, and I hear he plays a mean Monroe style on the mando. So if you aren't going to Strawberry or busy with family responsibilities come on out & pick a few. Benicia is about 25 min. from Berkeley. Let me know if you need directions.

Hi Michael,
Unfortunately I'll be absent at Grass Valley this year.....I'm headed back to the Midwest, wish I could be there.
Have you built a few new F5's for Grass Valley?..... you always put on a great display of your work there!

I hope you folks have a great time with Art. #All the time I will be at Strawberry I will be thinking I should be in my shop completing mandolins. #I'll have a couple ready for Grass Valley for sure, and maybe as many as 6. #Time is short.
