I think the seller originally bought it on ebay some time ago. I had saved the jpegs from the first go-around and they seem to match his.

The first seller wrote this:

While the craftmanship that went into this instrument is evident, the instrument can be said to be less of a structural success. It is clear that the pronounced f-holes, and the large central soundhole, leave little soundboard to carry the banjo-style bridge, under steel-strung mandolin tension. Hence this soundboard (just as that of the only other Violaline I've come across) finally conceeded to the laws of physics and developed several cracks. These have been repaired, but I suspect that this puppy should only be strung using very low tension strings, or tuned several tones down, and played with a capo.

I just love that combo! I would like to have it to play out with the band. I switch to guitar on some numbers and our guitarist switches to dobro. Boy, that would simplify things but the guitarist would probably want to get a combo guitar/dobro. I guess Junior Brown has that already in electric form.
