Just wondering if anyone knows of any good jam sessions which take place near the Overland Park area...?
Technically speaking this is Shawnee Mission but you'll get the drift.

There's a couple of bluegrass clubs, one KC Metro area that picks in Blue Springs, and another Northland based. I forget their names at the moment. They have once-a-month gatherings in winter when festivals are not on.
There's a Saturday jam every week at Bentley Guitar Studio in Parkville. I think it starts about one or two p.m.
Best place to ask about jams is Mountain Music Shoppe in Shawnee, and Mass St. Music in Lawrence.
You Kansas boys make me homesick. I got into the mando after moving away from Hutchinson, KS back in the early '70's. Tennessee's a pretty good place to be if you're into BG music.

Missouri boy here, but I make raids into Kansas when the musical timing is right.
