I've been listening a lot recently to Peter O's and Blake's Meeting on Southern Soil. I've been working on transcribing Oklahoma Redbird. Though not exact, it's pretty close, so I gave it to Scott T. to include int he Tab section. Here's the link:
Oklahoma Redbird Tab (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cgi-bin/tab/searchdb.cgi?searchterm=oklahoma)
It's the first time through the A and B parts. No variations tabbed.
Again, it's not exact but it's pretty close.

Great tune and good job on the transcription.
I play this tune as well. It is fun and challenging.
Each time Peter plays it he finds a different subtle way to vary the melody.
I would transcribe it vey similar to you though slightly different in the first 3 measures throwing in a couple of
f sharps.

Thanks, Jim! I've been looking for some inspiration. This will be some good work...
Anyone have a version of Chickamauga?

You're right on that Gary. Thanks for writing that out cause I'll update my transcription. Knew there were a couple notes off in the first full measure.
Still don't have that arpeggiated sequence right in the B part. Peter does some slides that I haven't got yet. However, the spirit of it is there.

Such a cool tune. And being a native Okie it's one I need to learn. I believe there is a .tef file of it over on Mandozine too.
Very cool...why don't you post a video of it being played on youtube?

Very pretty tune, someone else rolled it out here at the Cafe in standard notation in Bb, a year or so ago. -- Paul
